The Enchanted Fine Steel Rapier is the ordinary drop. The one people come looking for is the Shimmering Ruby Stiletto — a piercing weapon, and the reason this named gets searched by name rather than by zone.
Straight answer for a Paladin / Monk / Shaman trio: neither is a keeper. At level 24 you are already heading for the Enchanted Fine Steel Mace from Befallen's undead and the Najena weapons. Kill him for the merge copies and the motes, not for the weapon.
